 Siemon introduced a 10G 6A F/UTP version of its MapIT intelligent infrastructure management solution, which was launched in 2005 to help IT professionals manage their networks, improve documentation, enhance security, improve productivity and reduce downtime. The new version meets/exceeds all channel requirements dictated by IEEE 802.3an; it consists of a smaller diameter F/UTP cable and screened tool-less MAX modules, as well as sensor-enabled MapIT patch panels and screened 10G 6A MC patch cords. The system is supported by multiple work area faceplates and surface-mount options, in addition to a full suite of Siemon data centre/telecom room rack and cable management products.
