Plenum-rated armoured FO cable |

 Hitachi has launched a 24-strand single-unit plenum (OFNP) -rated armoured fiber optic cable constructed of strands of tightly buffered optical fibers under a single jacket, which is then protected by aluminum interlock armour (steel armouring is available). The armour is jacketed to permit better product marking, higher visibility and easier installation. This rugged cable is available with both multimode and single-mode optical fiber, and doesn’t require installation in innerduct. (Appeared N&C May/June 2008, Check it Out)
